A beautiful location with blue skies and permanent sunshine: that is the dream of any film or stills production planning a location shoot. Knowing where to go to find that sunshine at any time of year is one of those skills that experienced production companies excel at.
Here we have collected together a selection of gorgeous places that between them will provide sunshine whatever time of year you will be filming. We've concentrated on those places that are in a similar time zone to mainland Europe to keep flight times and jet lag to a minimum.

The least windy season here is from August through to early December, but weather is good most of the year; the only two months affected by rain storms are January and February, and even then the sun comes out again as soon as the rain stops.

When winter finally hits Lisbon you can retreat down to the Algarve for mild winter weather with plenty of sunshine.
